The Going and Coming Project is curently in the pilot year. The project will be accepting new schools from September 2010 and is free to schools in Yorkshire, however places are limited.
If you can answer yes to all of the questions below please complete the form opposite or contact us.
- This project is designed for Year 5 children, will you discuss it with teaching staff before committing?
- Are you or your staff willing to attend training to help you get the best from the project?
- Will you encourage your children and families to take part?
- Will you take part in evaluation so that we know how the project worked for you?
- Are you willing to share any lesson plans that you use or create while taking part?
What is available:
- 45 Training Sessions (Schools and LA’s).
- 90 in-school performances.
- 1,000 Teaching packs.
- Access to the website to upload stories (100 places).
- Access to the website to view stories (unlimited).

You can get involved as a teacher by signing up your school. Initially there are 10 pilot schools involved in the project; they will be working on their stories from September to December 2009. In 2010 we will open the project to schools throughout Yorkshire, so do drop us an email if you would like to be part of the project when it widens across Yorkshire. Once a school is signed up, then students can also add their stories.
