Hazel's interview

Hazel moved from Leeds to Zimbabwe then back to Leeds.

At only 6 years old a girl called Hazel moved from Leeds to a place in Africa called Zimbabwe. She had some family with her in Zimbabwe and all of a sudden she was rich. She had 3 lounges, a big teniss court, a swimming pool and a 2 acres of land. Hazel had a servent called Martin. Martin cooked, he cleaned, he ironed and he looked after everyone when they were ill. When Hazel was older she started to teach children and she sometimes taught people in there 20's. She was a supply teacher and worked with lots of classes. One class told her that she will leave before Christmas because they were so naughty but she carried on doing her job.

Suddenly the Mayor and the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe were having a fight about things happening there. Then suddenly Hazel found out that some people were walking through the front doors of peoples houses and saying "Right, get out now because I'm living here." Hazel didn't want to live in Zimbabwe any more because of the these reasons. So Hazel packed all of her stuff into 3 boxes and left Zimbabwe. When she arived in Leeds it was August 2005. All she had left of her family in the whole world was here sister in Wales. Every now Hazel goes and sees her sister in Wales just for a weekend.

Hazel now works as a teacher at the Cross Gates Methodist church teaching children from 8-11 years old. She teaches things about God to a small group of children including me.

The only thing Hazel misses is her friends and the Sun.
